This game was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. This Call of Duty title is also the first game in the series to feature non-linear gameplay sections along with multiple endings. The game frequently switches between time periods, showing you how the events in 1986 had an effect on 2025. Half the action takes place in 1986 while the other half takes place in 2025. The campaign is separated into two time periods. However, Black Ops 2 has taken the franchise to the future for the first time. In past games, the action took place in either the past or the present. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is a radical departure for the Call of Duty franchise.
